But what if I want long locs now?

Then you will have to get dreadlock extensions The dreadlock extensions are installed similar to the synthetic extensions, and the same hair is used. You can choose the thickness of the locs and length.

How do you take care of the loc extensions?

You hardly need to do anything to them. You can rinse your hair the same as with braid extensions. The most important thing is that if you get locs extensions installed with your own hair, that you separate your hair from the extension every day so that your own hair won't wrap around the locs. We also recommend wearing the dread extensions for no longer than three to four weeks.

What kind of dreadlock extensions can you get?

If your hair is a few inches long, you can get dreadlock extensions and they will look like you have long, natural locs of your own. You could wear these for about six weeks. If your hair is more than a few inches long or very long, you could get locs extensions either in you natural hair color or brighter color. This will fill your hair out a lot and this way you can have some locs without having to loc your won hair. As said before, we recommend wearing locs this way up to four weeks.
