What is your regimen?

I wash every 3-4 days and on non-wash days I condition. I feel that it is very important to condition everyday because it starts the process of locking the water/moisture in. I apply the conditioner and I make sure that I get it on all of my hair so I have to lift it by sections in the back and smooth the conditioner through. I put a plastic cap on top of the conditioner and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. I run hot water over the cap on my head so that it heats up the conditioner and opens my hair cuticles so the conditioner can penetrate deeper. I rinse the conditioner from my hair with cool water. This seals the cuticle and promotes a healthy sheen. I mix the Profectiv Roothealth and some of the ABBA Nourishing in my hand and I apply it to my hair by sections so that I can make sure I get the product in thoroughly. I apply the Thermasilk Gel the same way and then I allow my hair to rest for a couple of minutes so the products have a chance to set. After I let the hair set I put in any clips or headbands and shake a little to separate the curls and shape with a rat tail comb. I don't manipulate my hair with my finger after I let my hair set to cut down on the frizz.

What styles do you wear your hair in and do you use special products for each style?

I wear my hair in a TWA (teeny weeny afro), with clips and headbands. Every once in a while I will twist it and wear a twist-out. When I twist, I use John Freida's Dream Cream. This stuff is great to twist with!! It provides some hold and it gives you the shiniest twist-out.
