Here is the Four Point Plan to Dealing with Change...
Ask A Question?
Ask yourself the question I asked myself...
"If my love for this woman is dependant on her hairstyle, what does that say about me as a husband/boyfriend who is supposed to support his wife/girlfriend in any decision she makes?"
Make Up Your Mind
Make up your mind that she is entitled to make this choice and that you must, not should, support her in it. 100% full out.
Articulate How You Feel
Many men struggle with telling their wife/girlfriend how we feel. We mask our true feelings with attitudes and silent treatments. Well, time to grow up and deal with how you feel on this one. Do not--I mean Do Not say anything about what you feel about HER choice. When you finally tell her how you feel, it is about what your personal feelings are about this change.
Now Marvel At Your Growth
This whole transition is all about life. Remember to take the time to look back at your relationship and see how this experience has mad her, your relationship, and you as a person. Life is about a process. In that process you become something larger then the adversity we perceive we see. Use this thought about the FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) of your wife/girlfriend cutting her hair.
"When FEAR comes knocking at your door, and you use faith to answer it (the door), most of the time you will find there is nothing on the other side."
If you notice that the starting letters to 1-4 = A MAN
and that is what this is all about. The process of you becoming more of a man. And when it was all said and done, that is what I found myself becoming... More of a man than yesterday. And isn't that what life is all about!
